Here are links to Pure Land Buddhist organizations, a Shin self-study course and related web sites.

HAI AN PAGODA: New Britain, Connecticut. An active Vietnamese temple that is open to ethnic groups. Zen (Thien) and Pure Land Buddhism are its main focus but all forms of Buddhism are studied and appreciated. It is home of the Hai An Order of Dharma Teachers. The temple is under the spiritual guidance of Venerable Thich Tri Hoang.

NORTHAMPTON SHIN BUDDHIST SANGHA: Under the spiritual guidance of Dr. Taitetsu Unno, this growing and active community offers a wide variety of programs.

BOSTON SHINSHU BUDDHIST SANGHA offers an informative resource of Shin Buddhist material including articles, on-line newsletters, history and Buddhist music.

COSMOPOLITAN BUDDHIST CHURCH: this openly gay Pure Land Sangha offers an intersting web site with practical and inspiring Shin on-line services, scripture & more.

ONLINE BUDDHIST CENTERS & INFORMATION IN THE SHIN/PURE LAND TRADITIONS: this is a wonderful resource for Pure Land Buddhist studies.

THE BUDDHIST ASSOCIATION OF THE UNITED STATES: Headquartered at Chuang Yen Monastery, Lake Carmel, New York, this site announces the monastery events and programs, free books and more...

PLUM VILLAGE WEB SITE, located in France, under the spiritual guidance of Thich Nhat Hanh, details programs, retreats, workshops etc. for its world wide network of monasteries, including Maple Forest Monastery in Woodstock, Vermont.

PRISON DHARMA NETWORK (PDN), a nonsectarian Buddhist support network sharing the dharma with prisoners, prison volunteers, and correctional workers. It was was founded in 1989.

THERAVADA WOMEN RESOURCES provides the writings, history, influence and struggles of women of the Dharma. Also, it offers good contacts.

INSIGHT MEDITATION SOCIETY AND THE BARRE CENTER OF BUDDHIST STUDIES: Together they offer weekend and 10 day retreats, academic courses in all schools of Buddhism, located in central Massachusetts.

HARTFORD KARMA THEGSUM CHOLING(KTC): This Tibetan Buddhist sangha offers a wonderful variety of courses, workshops and guest speakers.

SINGING BOWL SANGHA is a community dedicated in exploring meditation an Buddhism. Sessions are led by Rev. Ocean-of Wisdom Sakya (Thich Hai Tri). The Sangha meets in the United Jewish Center on Mondays, 7PM in Danbury, Ct.

NEW HAVEN ZEN CENTER was founded in 1975 and is a member of the Kwan Um School of Zen and the Yale Religious Ministry. Zen Master Soeng Hyang (Barbara Rhodes) is the guiding teacher, and Bruce Blair is the abbot.
