Our annual 2 day Pilgrimage/Retreat to the Buddhist temples and monasteries of New York State offers
a mosaic of traditions for the seeker to discover. 14 pilgrims explored Chinese, Tibetan, American Zen and the Kadampa schools.
They camped at the Kenneth Wilson Campgroug in Mount Tremper and had 4 hours of free time in downtown Woodstock. Below
briefly shows the event schedule.
8/18, Saturday: leaving 7 a.m. Chuang Yen Monastery in NY, set
up tents, dinner at Indian restaurant in Woodstock, Thousand Armed Chenrezik Empowerment at 7 p.m.
at KTD Monastery lead by Kathar Rinpoche and later campsite fun and food.
8/19. Sunday: early breakfast at Bread Alone, morning Zen orientation
and practice at Zen Mountain Monastery, Lunch at Zen Mountain,
3 hours free time in historic Woodstock, then the Kadampa
Temple tour with a dinner invitation at 6:30. Returned
home at approx. 11 p.m.
