As a 12-Step Buddhist Group, Albuquerque 12-Step Sangha practices a complementary approach to recovery that fuses Buddhist principles with the traditional Twelve Step methods to offer a comprehensive and powerful path to freedom that plunges below the surface of addiction and addresses its causes.

We are not a replacement for traditional 12-Step Groups, but a supplement to them to help you experience your recovery on a deeper spiritual level. Our program is based on the method developed by Darren Littlejohn and described in his book “The 12-Step Buddhist”.

Because the countless forms and types of addiction, all manifesting an endless cycle of suffering, a 12-Step Sangha doesn’t just concentrate on one form of addiction, but addresses all forms of unmanageable craving. So if your dependency, whatever it is, has made your life unmanageable then you’re welcome at and encouraged to attend our group.
