The Buddha says, “The
world is a reflection of one’s own mind (Dhammapada).
My light shall
reach everywhere. (Larger Sutra 8).
Subhuti asked, “And
what is perfect wisdom beyond thinking?” The Buddha replied, “The disappearance of the self-centered person into
pure presence” (Prajnaparamita).
Ananda, the nature of the
Absolute is that it is total enlightenment. It is beyond name and form and beyond the world and all its beings. Ignorance
creates an illusion of birth and death, but when ignorance is dispelled, the supreme and shining Absolute is there. Then suffering
is changed into insight and death is transmuted into Nirvana (Surangama Sutra).
My heart is your heart;
Your heart is my heart.
It is your heart that becomes
It is not that I become Amida,
But Amida becomes me –
I should become a great benefactor…
to save the poor and the afflicted everywhere (Larger Sutra 8).
House builder, you are seen!
This house you shall not build again! Broken are your rafters...to the end of attachments has it come (Song of Victory: Dhammapada).
