The Practice of Giving

The Way of the Bodhisattva

Pathways to practice the Perfection of Giving

Some provide from the little they have, Others who are affluent don't like to give. An offering given from what little one has is worth a thousand times its value.

                                                                                                 -- The Buddha

Give to the cause of the Buddhist Faith Fellowship

There are many pathways to deeply practice the Buddhist primary virtue, the Bodhisattva’s Perfection of Generosity, called Dana Paramita in Sanskrit. Dana Paramita is a deep act of the complete open heart, in which one recognizes herself as the giver, the act of giving, the object of giving and the recipient.

There are many skilful ways to practice Dana Paramita to strengthen faith and practice in our world of fear and hate. There are numerous ways in which to use our financial resources to help transform the world closer to the reality of the great love, compassion and wisdom. The Buddhist Faith Fellowship strives to live by and share the Buddha Dharma with all, and makes every effort to pass on the dharma for future generations so that they may harvest the spiritual fruit of our diligent faith and practice.

Knowing that each one of us must tread the Buddha’s path of awareness in his/her own pace, the Buddhist Faith Fellowship's noble vision to deepen and share the practice is making an impact in the lives of many people in Connecticut and beyond; fortunately, it has now the expertise to help you financially participate in its efforts to spiritually transform individual lives and extend the Buddha’s teachings in North America.

This web site introduces an array of opportunities to practice Dana Paramita. No matter which ones you want to pursue, please do not hesitate to contact one of the members of our board of directors with questions or requests. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance. Your generous tax deductible gift to the Buddhist Faith Fellowship will ensure that our dharma incense will vibrantly burn for many years to come. Let’s build the future together.

If you have little, give a little; if you have a middling amount, give a middling amount; if you have much, give much. It is not fitting not to give at all. Kosiya, I say to you, `Share your wealth, use it. Thread the path of the Noble Ones. One who eats alone eats not happily.
